My Wish For Us All

2020 has been a roller coaster of a ride for so many.  Like all small business owners, it brought countless days of nail biting and number crunching.  While sadly however, I watched so many of my business colleagues gasping and some going under, we were able to not only sustain our small business but by the grace and relentless support of our amazing customers we actually GREW in the Year of the Pandemic!  Not one minute of this falls lightly on me.  I am overwhelmed with the community that has gathered around our unique little company and has consciously chosen to bring the warmest hugs and most encouraging rally cries for our success!  

If this past year has taught me anything, it is that the Pandemic was not selective, prejudice or judgmental.  It has been an equal opportunity destroyer.  But it also taught me that when things are one hundred percent out of our control, the only thing we can still do to remain IN control is to look for and find the good in every day.  

Like many have told me, Oopsy Daisy is a safe haven ~ away from the traditional ways to shop… a place to come for some peace from whatever is going on in the rest of the world.  Literally, a HOME away from home.  I could not agree more.  I feel so fortunate every day to be able to come to work at a job I truly love doing and be surrounded by people who truly love to be here, too!  

I just want to take a year-end moment to tell each and every one of you THANK YOU!  Thank you for the outpouring of support.  My wish for 2021 and for all of you is that, much like the ugly Pandemic, we are fierce!  But rather than being ugly we use that power for finding positive: we choose to not discriminate, to replace fear with faith, we encourage one another, we stop for the fallen even if we are winning the race, we take each day as it is given to us and find the good in it, and most importantly… we find the time, MAKE the time to Plant Some Happy.
