Upcycled Succulent Planter Template

This fun project can be done using any favorite container you may already have on hand.

(Our choice was our empty Oopsy Daisy candle vessel ~ which was amazing, by the way!)

Succulent gardens are an easy low-maintenance way to add some green to your space!

Place your new creation inside near a sunny window or outdoors during the warm months, in partial to full sunlight. Succulents, in general, need very little water and because this template uses a container without a drain hole, watering even less often is advised.

Begin by adding a 1/2” layer of gravel to the bottom of your container.

Remove excess soil from your chosen succulents, collecting it in a separate container or bowl, and place the plants into your chosen vessel - a tight fit is just fine!

Carefully pour the collected soil back in, working it around the arranged succulents. Depending on the size of your container, you might need to add additional Succulent Soil. A popsicle stick or chop stick may be helpful to get the soil in place.

Add decorative gravel, moss, or glass beads to the exposed soil surface for a finishing touch.
