Cheers to Ten Years!

Who knew?

Who knew you could build a business, offer employment opportunities, create a culture out of a destination, and give thousands to deserving charities ALL while having fun?!

When I started this company ten years ago, I did know this:

I knew I loved to garden, to create pretty things, to improve the look and feel of my home.  I knew I loved shopping, but only shopping where I felt warm and welcomed by the business owner.  Shopping where both the clerk and I felt the same as I walked away ~ like a connection had been made during a trade that was honest and fair to both parties.  

To say I had even one clue how to run a business would be an understatement.  But somehow, with a LOT of sweat equity and the grace of our understanding clientele, we’ve figured it out and flourished every year.  Sometimes ignorance is bliss and I think staying true to my gut and always sticking by what I *felt* was the right way has molded Oopsy Daisy into the image it has grown to be.  

These ten years have FLOWN by! I chose rather than to make a big fanfare of the decade year, to do just what I already knew we needed - keep grinding and putting every resource and effort into the customer experience that shows up on the daily, while continually looking for improvements and opportunities to make it even better.

I’d like to take this moment to thank all our employees that have worked so hard over the years and to especially thank all of our devoted customers! Without each of you, none of these past 3,650 dream-filled days at the Daisy would have been possible! Cheers to ten years!
